Next week is Thanksgiving. What a nice holiday. No presents to buy just the promise of our favorites – family, food and friends ( and for my BFF Ida, football).… continue reading A week from Thanksgiving….
Welcome to My Heart`s Ease
May your heart be at ease.....
Wild pansies or violas are often called heart’s ease because in ancient times they were thought to cure affairs of the heart both physically and emotionally… it was believed to ease the pain of separated loved ones, soothe a broken heart and was used to treat high blood pressure.
Growing up in eastern North Carolina, I loved to read and many of the books had historical backgrounds. In them folks named their houses and farms. I thought if I ever named my house it would be Heart’s Ease, not because I had a particular fondness of the flower but because I thought home should heal and put your heart at ease.
For me, making home warm and inviting, comfy and cozy puts my heart at ease. I hope you will find items here for your home that will do that for you.
